Tooth Extractions: This may be performed for numerous reasons. Severe damage or decay could warrant a removal. A tooth’s obstruction of surrounding teeth could be a reason for tooth extraction as well.
Crowns: A dental crown, otherwise known as a dental cap, is an artificial tooth surface that is fitted to encapsulate either a natural or implanted tooth. Crowns can be manufactured from all variety of materials, including porcelain and metal alloys, and are attached to a tooth using a kind of dental cement.
Composite Fillings: These are used to fill in a cavity in a tooth. They are often made from a composite of glass and plastic that is colored to blend in with a patient’s natural teeth.
Braces: Traditional braces consist of a metal device that is attached to one’s teeth. Braces are used to gradually correct crooked teeth and other alignment issues, including malocclusions, underbites, overbites, crossbites, and deep bites.
Invisalign (Invisible Braces): An alternative to traditional braces for many patients, Invisalign braces are made from a transparent plastic. Designed to fit over your teeth (not unlike a very thin mouthguard), Invisalign can be an option for those who do not wish to wear metal braces.
Bridges: A dental bridge is built from a false tooth that is anchored in place by crowns that are attached to the adjacent teeth, and can be an efficient way of replacing a missing tooth.
Dentures/Partials: These are customized replacements for natural teeth. In contrast to previous decades, contemporary dentures are far more comfortable and natural-looking than in the past.
Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy): This is a surgery involving the extraction of an infected region of a tooth’s pulp, followed by restoration of the tooth with a filling or crown.
Get The Smile You Want
You only get one opportunity to make a first impression. Your smile can play a major role in that. A smile is often what other people see first, whether at a social gathering, the workplace, or at school. A confident, healthy smile can be a great asset, while damaged teeth can be a distraction and off-putting to a new acquaintance.
No one should have to live with unhealthy or damaged teeth. Every smile is unique, and should not have to be a source of pain or embarrassment.
If you are not happy with your smile, talk to your dental surgery specialist about what our team can do to give you the smile you deserve. If you’d like to book an appointment, or if you have questions concerning wisdom teeth removal, dental implant surgery, or tooth extraction, give Family Dental Care Center a call at 484-791-2138.
